it maybe my digital camera but those lovely violets shades, well, are grey. i don't know why it looks different.

 as always i did not have this quilt in mind. i just made a small medallion and get bored, cut it in four pieces and added more fabric to make it bigger.

como siempre yo no tenía este quilt en mente. hice un pequeño top medallion y me aburrió así que lo corté en cuatro piezas y le añadí  tela para hacerlo mas grande

 i had some solid grey fabrics and didn't know what to make with it so i mixed them with whites and black

tenía telas grises lisas y no sabía que hacer con ellas, así que las mezclé con blancos y negro

the border came to be because i had enough leftovers

el borde lo hice porque me sobró suficiente tela

these flowers are bulbs and here they do not need any care at all. they multiply every year. love the colors!

estas flores son bulbos y aquí no necesitan ningunos cuidados. se multiplican solas cada año.

 again, these very soft fabrics and batting made very easy and enjoyable to quilt

una vez más, estas telas y la boata tan suaves hacían muy fácil el quilting

it looks like an instagram but it isn't. i took it with my cheap digital camera and still don't know how!. i like it

we are having soft rain almos every day and mild temperatures

estamos teniendo días de suave lluvia y temperatura

 the mist is not unusual . we are at a higher height from a near seaside town, so when it is very hot there the misty clouds rise up  here in the afternoon because of the fresher air

la niebla no es inusual. estamos a más altura que la cercana ciudad costera, por lo que, cuando hace mucho calor allí se forman nubes de niebla por el contraste del aire mas fresco aquí

look at the ground colors! i see here my last orange-brown quilt, the one posted on halloween. the clayey ground doesn't look this color in sunny days - the usual here- but kind of dirty yellow brown that i don't like it. i might work more with happy colors but i love these much more. yesterday i started i new top with these colors 

mira los colores del suelo! veo en ellos mi quilt naranja-marrón, la que blogeé en halloween. el suelo arcilloso  no se ve de ese color los días soleados - lo normal aquí- sino de un amarillo marrón sucio que no me gusta.
trabajaro mas con colores alegres pero estos colores me gustan  más. ayer empecé un nuevo quilt top con telas de estos colores

i'm thinking in the quilting possibilities of this top. pretty satified with the quilt top result but not much with the photos!

 some years ago i made checks quilts with beautiful fabrics. these here are silky

hace algunos años hice quilts de cuadritos con preciosas telas. estas son sedosas

 i bought them from england but i think these are japanese desingned. quite expensive

las compré de inglaterra pero me parece que son un diseño japonés. algo caras

i love these too. they look antique. wonderful quality cotton. very soft touching

estas me gustan también. parecen antiguas. magnífica calidad de algodón. muy suave al tacto

 it is dificult for me to work with too beautiful fabrics. i am afraid to "waste" them in a bad desing so i tend to be conservative with them

es difícil para mi trabajar con telas demasiado bonitas. temo "desperdiciarlas" con un mal diseño por lo que tiendo a ser bastante conservadora con ellas

 although i still like these kind of fabrics a lot. i do not buy them anymore. i do not collect fabrics, i need them to work with and feel confortable cutting and experimenting improvised desings, and these are quite "risky" sometimes

a pesar de que aún me gusta mucho este tipo de telas no las compro más. no colecciono telas, las necesito par trabajar con ellas y sentirme comoda cortándolas y experimentando diseños improvisados, y estos, a veces son un "riesgo"

 i think these fabrics are wonderfull for traditional quilt desings
me parece que estas telas son magníficas para los diseños tradicionales de quilts

but those desings  are terribly boring for me!
pero esos diseños son un terrible aburrimiento  para mí!

anyway i still love these quilts, the colors and fabrics desings are beautiful!

de cualquier manera me encantan estos quilts, los colores y el diseño de las telas son muy bonitos!
